Well, the same is occuring in r4129, just to update you.
In map27, you can head left, into some large door you can open... heading into it, there's an animated door you can see the "missing" effects of when you open it.

In map17, these doors you can find everywhere are missing their transitions.

In map29, the double doors animate when opening... in this case, the doors go "missing" when one of them are opened.

In map07, the door that leads into a fake programmer's lair doesn't animate.

It has an area with all the various animated doors that you can test against... with one of the doors causing Vavoom to crash. It's the best place to start.
